Hansika Motwani Pradeep was born on August 9, 1991 at Pradeep Motwani, a businessman and Mona Motwani, a dermatologist.
She has completed Grade 12 in Podar International School. She speaks fluent English, Hindi, Telugu and Tulu.

Hansika appeared on soaps as Tina in Des Mein Hoga Chand Nikkla, Kyunki Saas Bahu Thi BHI Savri in Kabhie and Kareena / Koyal in DHO If that Buzz. She featured in Shaka Laka Boom Boogie Woogie and Boom. She has also appeared in films like Koi Mil (2003) and Escape from Taliban (2003).
